Shikshya GPT Terms of Service

A simpler explanation of the rules that apply when you use Shikshya GPT.

Effective Date: August 30, 2026

Important CDC NoticeNepal Curriculum

Shikshya GPT is designed to support learning in alignment with Nepal’s school curriculum. Unless expressly authorized, references to the Curriculum Development Centre (CDC) do not mean that Shikshya GPT is operated, endorsed, sponsored, or certified by the CDC or the Government of Nepal. Official CDC and Government of Nepal publications should be treated as authoritative where applicable.

1

Welcome to Shikshya GPT

Welcome to Shikshya GPT. We built Shikshya GPT to make learning easier, more engaging, and more accessible for students, teachers, parents, and schools in Nepal.

These Terms of Service explain how you can use Shikshya GPT, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. They apply to our website, applications, AI-powered learning tools, teacher and student features, school services, and other related services (together, the “Services”).

By using Shikshya GPT, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Services.

2

What Shikshya GPT Is

Shikshya GPT is an educational technology platform created to support teaching and learning in Nepal. Our goal is to bring useful digital learning tools together in one place and make them easier for students and educators to use.

The platform may include curriculum-based learning, AI assistance, quizzes, assignments, assessments, interactive activities, laboratory simulations, teacher tools, student dashboards, parent features, school management tools, learning analytics, and other educational features.

3

Our Connection With the Nepal Curriculum

Shikshya GPT is designed to support learning in line with the school curriculum of Nepal. Content may be organized by grade, subject, unit, topic, learning objective, learning outcome, or assessment structure.

The Curriculum Development Centre (CDC), Nepal is the Government of Nepal body responsible for curriculum-related work, including curriculum development and educational materials. Shikshya GPT is intended to support learning around that curriculum.

Unless we specifically state otherwise, Shikshya GPT is not claiming to be an official CDC service, Government of Nepal service, or CDC-endorsed product.

If information shown by Shikshya GPT differs from an official curriculum, textbook, teacher guide, specification grid, examination notice, or government directive, the official source should be treated as the authoritative source.

4

Who Can Use Shikshya GPT

Shikshya GPT may be used by students, teachers, parents, schools, and educational institutions, subject to the requirements that apply to their account or Service.

If you are under the age at which you can legally agree to these Terms, you should use Shikshya GPT with the involvement or permission of a parent, legal guardian, school, or other authorized institution when required by applicable law.

5

What You Can Expect From Us

We want Shikshya GPT to be useful, dependable, and easy to use. We work to keep improving the platform, fix problems, improve security, update educational content, and introduce features that can make learning better.

Because technology and educational requirements change, some features may be updated, changed, temporarily unavailable, or discontinued.

6

Using Shikshya GPT Responsibly

Please use Shikshya GPT for lawful and educationally appropriate purposes. You are responsible for the information you provide and for how you use the answers, tools, and materials available through the platform.

You should also follow your school’s rules, your teacher’s instructions, and any assessment or examination policies that apply to you.

7

Students

Students can use Shikshya GPT to understand lessons, practice questions, review subjects, prepare for assessments, explore concepts, use simulations, and get help with learning.

Shikshya GPT should not be used to cheat in an examination, impersonate another student, manipulate academic records, or submit work in a way that breaks your school’s academic-integrity rules.

8

Teachers

Teachers can use Shikshya GPT to prepare lessons, create practice questions and quizzes, develop activities, prepare assignments, explain concepts, and support students.

Because AI can make mistakes, teachers should review AI-generated materials before using them as official classroom, assignment, examination, or assessment content.

9

Parents and Guardians

Parents and guardians can use Shikshya GPT to support a child’s learning. Where parental or guardian permission is required, it should be obtained before the relevant Service is used.

Parents and guardians should also encourage children to use the platform responsibly and avoid sharing unnecessary personal information.

10

AI-Powered Features

Some parts of Shikshya GPT use artificial intelligence to generate explanations, questions, summaries, quizzes, examples, feedback, and other learning content.

AI is helpful, but it is not perfect. An answer may sometimes be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular learner. For important academic matters, please check the answer against official resources or ask a teacher.

Using Shikshya GPT does not replace the judgment of a teacher, school, parent, qualified professional, or official educational authority.

11

Assessments, Scores, and Learning Progress

Shikshya GPT may provide quizzes, assignments, scores, feedback, progress information, analytics, or recommendations. Unless we clearly say otherwise, these features are intended to support learning and are not official academic results.

Schools and authorized educational institutions remain responsible for official grades, examinations, promotion, certification, admission, and other formal academic decisions.

12

Your Account

Some Services require an account. If you create one, please provide accurate information and keep your login details safe. Do not share your credentials in a way that could put your account or another person’s information at risk.

If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, please contact us as soon as possible.

13

School and Institution Accounts

When Shikshya GPT is used through a school or educational institution, the school may manage certain parts of the account. Depending on the setup, authorized school personnel may manage classes, subjects, assignments, assessments, student access, and relevant educational reports.

14

Content You Provide

Some features allow you to enter questions, upload assignments, notes, documents, images, or other material. You remain responsible for the content you provide and for making sure you have the right to share it.

Please do not upload another person’s private or confidential information unless you have the appropriate permission and there is a legitimate reason to do so.

15

How We Use Your Content to Provide the Service

When you submit content to Shikshya GPT, we may need to store, process, display, transmit, or otherwise handle that content so we can provide the feature you asked to use. The details of how information is handled are described in our Privacy Policy.

Submitting your content does not, by itself, transfer ownership of your intellectual property to Shikshya GPT.

16

Shikshya GPT Content and Intellectual Property

Shikshya GPT may contain software, platform designs, graphics, interfaces, documentation, educational materials, and other content. Unless stated otherwise, applicable rights in platform-owned materials remain with Shikshya GPT or the relevant rights holder.

Educational materials may also belong to the CDC, Government of Nepal, publishers, authors, teachers, or other rights holders. Users should respect the copyright and permitted-use rules that apply to those materials.

17

Respecting Other People

Shikshya GPT is meant to be a safe and respectful learning environment. Do not use it to bully, threaten, harass, intimidate, defame, impersonate, discriminate against, or deliberately harm another person.

You should respect the privacy, dignity, intellectual property, and other legal rights of students, teachers, parents, schools, and other users.

18

Things You Must Not Do

You must not hack, attack, overload, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to Shikshya GPT or its systems. You must not introduce malware, bypass security controls, access another person’s account, manipulate academic records, scrape information without permission, abuse APIs, conduct phishing, or use the Services for fraud or other unlawful activity.

You also must not reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to extract proprietary parts of the Services except where applicable law expressly allows it.

19

Privacy

We take privacy seriously, especially because Shikshya GPT may be used by students and minors. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how AI interactions may be processed, when information may be shared, how we protect it, and what choices may be available to you.

Please avoid putting unnecessary sensitive information into AI prompts, assignments, uploaded documents, or other learning activities.

20

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect the Services and information processed through them. No online system, however, can promise complete security.

You also play an important role in security by protecting your account credentials and using a secure device.

21

Third-Party Services

Shikshya GPT may rely on third-party services for things such as cloud hosting, authentication, AI processing, analytics, communications, payments, storage, or security. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

22

Service Availability

We work hard to keep Shikshya GPT available, but we cannot promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device.

Temporary interruptions can happen because of maintenance, updates, technical failures, network problems, security incidents, third-party failures, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

23

Educational Disclaimer

Shikshya GPT is an educational support tool. We do not promise that every AI-generated answer or educational resource will always be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for every student.

For official academic, examination, certification, or government requirements, always check the latest information from the appropriate official source.

24

Taking Action When the Rules Are Broken

If we reasonably believe that someone is violating these Terms, harming other users, compromising security, or using the Services unlawfully, we may take appropriate action. This can include removing content, limiting features, suspending an account, or restricting access.

In serious situations, we may need to act immediately to protect users, the platform, or comply with legal requirements.

25

Suspension or Termination

You can stop using Shikshya GPT at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary, including for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, fraud, unauthorized access, security threats, or unlawful use.

School or institutional administrators may also manage, suspend, or close school-managed accounts according to their policies.

26

Changes to Shikshya GPT

As Shikshya GPT grows, we may add, change, or remove features. We may do this to improve learning, respond to curriculum updates, improve security, fix technical problems, or comply with legal requirements.

27

Changes to These Terms

We update these Terms from time to time. When changes are significant, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate or required. The updated Terms will show a new effective date.

If you continue using Shikshya GPT after the updated Terms take effect, that generally means you accept the updated Terms, subject to applicable law.

28

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Shikshya GPT is not responsible for losses arising from misuse of the Services, reliance on inaccurate AI-generated information, user-generated content, third-party services, unauthorized account access caused by poor account security, or events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

29

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Nepal, subject to any mandatory rights and protections provided by law. Disputes relating to these Terms or the Services will be handled according to applicable law and the appropriate jurisdiction in Nepal.

30

A Few Final Legal Points

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

If we do not immediately enforce a particular provision, that does not mean we have permanently given up the right to enforce it later.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms that apply to specific Services, describe the agreement governing your use of Shikshya GPT.
